Ogun Women Assured Of Leadership Post

Women have been assured that more of them will be elected in position of leadership in Ogun State , Nigeria.  Women have also been assured that the issue of rape  and defilement will be fought to the barest minimum in the state. The assurances were given when the 100 women lobby group  visited the  former speaker of Ogun state house of assembly, Rt Hon.Titi Oseni , the acting General manager of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) Mrs Toyin Sogbesan and the caretaker chairman, Obafemi Owode local government, Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Fatai on 25th November,2020. The state coordinator of the group, Prof. Oluwabunmi  Ashimolowo  appreciated  everyone working behind the curtains and also those of us on field working on behalf of 100 women lobby group in ogun state, saying all the advocacies we had today were successful.  She also appreciated Mrs Sogbesan , Hon. NANS Honors Shomide 2020 Political Icon Award

  The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS,  Ogun state chapter on Wednesday honored the transition committee chairman, Abeokuta, south local government, Hon. Group Decry Low Empowerment Of Nigerian Women

A group known as 100 women lobby group, Ogun state chapter,  has said that women's  rates of empowerment within the community is woefully low. The group noted that women in most times are not treated well, advising the federal government to ensure greater equality between men and women. The state coordinator of the group, Prof. Oluwabunmi Ashimolowo disclosed this when she led members of his group to a courtesy visit to the ministry of women affairs in the state. Ashimolowo called on the government officials to support women in form of provision of assets, skills, jobs, dignity and protection.  She  said that if efforts are not made to stabilize women in various aspects, they are at risk of being further left behind. According to her, women spend 90 per cent of their income on the family, despite this fact, they face numerous barriers in accessing income generating opportunities. “If we want a stronger community, then, we need to invest in women, this is the smart strategy and this

NFF Gives Ogun IPAC Member Appointment

The Nigeria football federation has , NFF has appointed Prince ADEYEMI ADEYINKA, the ogun state Chairman of Alliance for Social Democrats,  ASD as the welfare offcer of the Nigeria national under 20 team. ADEYINKA, Before his appointment  worked with different Premierships club sides in Nigeria  like Sunshine  football club of Akure , Lobi stars Football club of Makurdi  The Abeokuta North local government born sports administrator cum politician is a member of the Ogun IPAC. The National U20 are currently camping in Abuja preparing for the WAFU competition in Benin republic next Month. His appointment takes  immediate effect from the date of his appointment.

Don't Be Discouraged By Genesis'Trial, He 'll Be Vindicated Soon, Pastor Mercy Tells Clerics

General Overseer of the Divine Universal Church Of Christ International, Itedo Ayo, Abeokuta, Ogun State,  Dr. Olayiwola Mercy has urged  his fellow clerics not to be discouraged by the trial of pastor of Church Christ Global Genesis Parish Israel Oladele Ogundipe popularly known as Genesis. You will recall that  Genesis was sentenced to two years imprisonment for defrauding a United Kingdom-based woman, Mrs Olaide Williams-Oni. Pastor Mercy while speaking with  news men in Abeokuta, On Tuesday urged the  co -pastors in Genesis global to hold to the church, maintaining that the head pastor will be vindicated soon. Bello Rejoices With Sanusi On His Birthday

A leading chairmanship aspirant, Abeokuta North  local government, hon. Wale  Bello  has rejoiced with the state chairman of the party, chief Yemi Sanusi as he turns  another year today. Bello in his congratulatory message praised Sanusi's commitment towards taking the party to high level  in Ogun state. He described him as a  leader per excellence, saying that he remains role model for all in the party. Ajayi Congratulates Oluomo As He Emerges Vice Chair, Speakers' Conference

A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Representing Yewa South Constituency,  Hon. Lateefat Bolanle Ajayi has congratulated the speaker of Ogun State House of assembly,  Rt Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo as he emerged the  Vice Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State legislatures in Nigeria.  The assembly man said that the appointment of Oluomo is a welcome development in the state. Adeleke Hails Sanwo-Olu For Flagging Off Reconstruction Of Ibeju Lekki Road

Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo of the All Progressive Congress , APC,  in Lagos State has commended the lagos state governor,  Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for flagging off  reconstruction of Eti Osa-Lekki -Epe  road in the state The 2019 aspirant of the Lagos State House Of Assembly while speaking with newsmen in Lagos made the commendation, saying that he was impressed by the committment of Sanwoolu towards the development of the state. Recall that on Sunday Sanwo-Olu, rolled out a major infrastructural overhaul in the Epe Division of the State, flagging off the reconstruction of Eti Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway 40 years after.
