Ogun Transition Chair., Tella Wins 2020 LOGMA Award



The panel  of Judges and Nomination committee of  the Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Merit Award (LOGMA) have unanimously chosen the transition chairman of Abeokuta North local government, prince Tunde Tella  as one of the worthy recipients of the esteem award for 2020.


The award, instituted by mentors communications limited, publishers of landmarks magazine,  is to reward outstanding local government chairmen across the country


This was stated in a release made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Saturday.


The release states, ''the transition chairman of Abeokuta North local government, Prince Tunde Tella has successfully passed through the various performance assessment stages, verification of report from our field officer, public opinion poll (in response to our Call for Nomination on Radio Television Stations ) and national dailies (See photocopy of page 4, Daily Sun newspaper, Tuesday, September 29,2020, attached ) 


'' All these records proved that you  have made exceptional and outstanding contributions in grassroots development.


''Your commitment to service delivery and high sense of accountability despite dwindling financial resources to the council and challenges of COVID-19 are very commendable .


''You have demonstrated responsible and accountable political leadership that have made positive impact on the lives of ordinary  indigenes in your local government and Nigeria in general. 


''Particularly, your outstanding achievement in the area of *Portable water supply. This award is therefore packaged to celebrate excellence and enhance your present and future political endeavors''



The Release also added that the minister for interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola wi be the special guest of honor while the deputy speaker of the house of representatives, rt hon. Ahmed  Idris Wase will be chairman of the occasion.

Ogun Commissioner Gets Honorary Award For Supporting The Vulnerable

The Ogun State ICON of Humanity has honored the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo  in the State with award for supporting the vulnerable during the hottest stage of Covid-19. While presenting the award to him, the president of Flashlight Entertainment, Wole Otuyelu  appreciated him for his kind gesture towards the vulnerable during the trying period in the state. Meanwhile, the awardee appreciated the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for giving him the privilege to contribute his quota towards the development of Ogun State. Yomi- Faj Mourns As Anthony Adejonpe Dies

   A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Representing Ijebu North East State Constituency, Hon. Fasuwa Johnson has commiserated with the family of Anthony Adejonpe who died yesterday night In his condolence message, the assembly man  said that  the death of  the Ijebu born  came as a shock to him. The assembly man described the deceased as  a worthy and dependable son of Imomo, ilugun Alaro in his life time. He said, ''This is a  great loss to us in Ijebu North East and Ijebu in  general,  A vibrant and a highly dependable youth is gone. We had our last meeting in September though very short was all about how we can move our area to the next level.
