Free and Qualitative Education, a Right of All Children - Hon Adeyemi.


The member representing Abeokuta South State Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly, who also doubles as Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science & Technology,  Honourable Ademuyiwa Adeyemi has again reaffirmed his commitment and ideals towards ensuring that all sons and daughters of Ogun State have access to free and qualitative education. 

This was brought to the fore on Friday 2nd October 2020 during the presentation of school items by his Foundation, Ebony Foundation International, to pupils and students of his constituency, which also coincided with Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary.

While delivering the items consisting majorly of school sandals and some other gifts, the Founder, Ebony Foundation International, Honourable Adeyemi assured the students of his commitment towards ensuring that every child in the state is not in any way deprived of access to education under any condition. This is evident in his works as Chairman House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, towards ensuring the education sector in Ogun State is well funded in order to achieve the vision of the state government in building our future together. He maintains that education plays a cardinal role in achieving this objective. 

A total of 4 schools, comprising of 2 primary schools and 2 secondary schools benefited from this first tranche of the gifts distribution. The schools are, Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Nawarudeen High School, Funmilayo Kuti Nursery and Primary School and Abeokuta South Local Government Primary School, Ago-Oba. While receiving the gift items on behalf of the pupils and students, the principals and head teachers of the schools appreciated the consistent efforts of Honourable Adeyemi towards advancing the course of education in Ogun State, thereby making access to education an easy one for the pupils and students and easing the burden of the parents. 

Honorable Adeyemi while responding, said "I am giving this back to the community because of my love for serene educational set up and for the  young ones, and also to complement the effort of his Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, who on assumption of office declared a State of Emergency in the Educational sector".

He further said, that the exercise is a continuous one, as the 25 Primary Schools and 8 Secondary Schools in his Constituency will equally experience such a gesture. He appreciates the Teachers who at this crucial period are taking their time to look after the kids and lead them right. He advised the teachers to adhere to strong COVID-19 guidelines as he prays to God to heal our land.

The gifts distribution ended with the pupils thanking the Honourable for the noble gesture.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
