Ogun Transition Chair., Tella Wins 2020 LOGMA Award

The panel  of Judges and Nomination committee of  the Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Merit Award (LOGMA) have unanimously chosen the transition chairman of Abeokuta North local government, prince Tunde Tella  as one of the worthy recipients of the esteem award for 2020. Farouq Hails Abiodun For Implementing New Minimum Wage In Ogun

A chairmanship aspirant, Abeokuta south Local government, Hon. Farouq Akintunde has commended the Ogun state governor, prince Dapo Abiodun for implementing the new minimum wage  in the state. Workers in Ogun  State today  have started rejoicing, upon the alerts of October salary received from their respective banks, with the new minimum wage increase. You will recall  that the State Government had an agreement with the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Joint Negotiating Council (JNC) to effect the new mimimum wage and this has been fulfilled. Farouq who spoke with Journalists today in Abeokuta praised the governor for keeping to his promise, saying that his good deeds will always speak for him. He urged the civil servants to continue to support Abiodun, noting that he is different from politicians that promise and fail.  The chairmanship however assured the  Abeokuta south staff of more improve conditions of service when he comes on board.

Prince Tunde Tella, the transition committee chairman, Abeokuta North has called on Muslims in the State to use the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud to promote religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence. I must say the wind of change is blowing in Nigeria. The bold steps taken by the Youths is highly commendable. This unity of purpose across board is unprecedented. One lesson we need to take out of this is that shades of ethnicity and tribe affinity has no place when we act in unity and watch each others back in our quest for Development.  I must also commend the government for giving listening ears to the demands of this #EndSARs protest.  The way forward is for the youth agitating not to lose the momentum gathering. Fasuwa Abayomi Johnson,  representing Ijebu north east state constituency, has urged Nigerians to always remember the country in prayers.
