SKO Commends Abiodun For Including Youths In His Govt


...Congratulates Youths On International Youths Day

The chairmanship aspirant in Abeokuta South Local Government, Alhaji Shittu Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO) congratulated the  youths in the State, most especially in Abeokuta South Local Government on the  commemoration with International Youth Day.



He also appreciated the gesture of the Ogun state Governor, prince  Dapo Abiodun for the opportunity given to the youths to serve in his cabinet and the way he is engaging them on agriculture and other programmes on the way. 

In line with this year’s theme: “Youth engagement for global action”, SKO added that, there is need to engage youths in all aspect of government activities, locally and internationally in order to witness unprecedented growth and development in our dear country because an idle hand is a devil tool. 

He said, ''In considering the number of teeming youths in our state, most of which are graduates, artisans and skills persons full of energy who are ready to serve the state and the nation in all capacities; therefore,  it behooves the leaders to engage us in all ramification for the desire results”, he stated. 

The chairmanship aspirant  further explained that, youths engagement will be of value, if; it starts from our grassroots where genuine and desire development are needed most. 

According to him, doing this would place youths on vantage position to understand their people, community(s) and challenges plaguing them, from which national development can follow. 

 
SKO  therefore enjoined youths to shun any act of indiscipline capable of dragging the good name of the local government, State and Country at large through the mire.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
