The National President, Ijebu Youth Association, comrade Fayomi Wasiu Okikiola has felicitated with the Muslim people in Ijebu area of Ogun State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
Okikiola's felicitation was conveyed in a statement signed by him on Thursday in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
He urged the Muslim faithful to use the opportunity of the period to pray fervently to end covid-19 pandemic in the state.
Okikiola also appreciated the muslims for supporting the state government in fighting covid-19 pandemic.
The national president also urged the sons and daughters of ijebu to support the state government towards the development of ijebu land.
He also urged them to obey the state government's directive by celebrating the Eid-el-fitri at home.
According to him, this year’s celebration was coming at a time when the world was plagued by coronavirus pandemic, saying that the deadly disease has come and will surely go.
He also called on the residents of Ogun state to continue supporting the state government towards fighting covid-19 pandemic in the state.
''I want to appreciate the muslims for being patient with our amiable governor. We should all believe that the law to celebrate at home is for our own benefit to be prevented from the pandemic. I want to urge us to comply with the state government as we celebrate Sallah day tomorrow.'' He added
