The chairmanship aspirant for Abeokuta south local government, Hon. Adeniyi Akintunde Farouq has rejoiced with Muslims as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitri tomorrow.
This was disclosed in a statement released by him to the newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
He called on Muslims to use the period to pray fervently for peace in the country.
Farouq also advised them remain at home during the celebration and ensure they obey the lockdown rules put in place by the federal government.
''I want wish Muslim brothers and sisters happy the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, I prayed God to accept the supplications of the faithful during the Ramadan and bestow unparalleled blessings on the people''
He therefore charged Muslims to use the occasion of the Eid-il-Fitri celebrations to rededicate themselves to values and virtues to promote peace and unity in the country.
