Ogun Govt Gives Out Food Items To 1,000 Ipokia residents











No fewer than one thousand residents and indigenes of Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State have benefitted from the State government's the ongoing distribution of the relief materials.











The relief packages are being distributed to residents of the State to cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic plaguing the world.








 



The beneficiaries, in the first instance, cut across four wards namely: Ipokia ward 1, Ipokia ward 2, Maun ward 1 and Maun ward 2.










Chairman of Ipokia Local Government Transition Committee, Hon. Abdulkabiru Abolurin while presenting the relief materials from the State government to the beneficiaries during the flag-off in Ipokia ward 1, said the gesture would greatly assist them in their feeding as the packaged materials, included rice, beans, garri, vegetable oil, salt and food seasoning among other items.
 











The beneficiaries, who included the poor, vulnerable and aged in their separate comments, commended the State government for the gesture. They particularly lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for extending such offer to them at this time of dire need.
 












The distribution of the relief materials continues today (Wednesday) in Agosasa ward 2, Tube ward, Agada and Ijofin wards.
 












The less privileged, poor, aged and vulnerable in Ihunbo-Ilase ward, Ifonyintedo ward and others in Idiroko as well as Ajegunle wards will tomorrow (Thursday) receive the State Government relief materials in Ipokia Local Government Area.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
