COVID-19: Hon. Osoba To Give Out Cash To His Constituents In Ogun




As part of efforts to cushion effect of lockdown in Ogun, A member of the House of Representatives,  Abeokuta North/Odeda/ Obafemi Federal Constituency, Hon. Olumide Osoba has concluded plans to provide monetary succour to the aged and indigent persons in his constituency.

This was stated In  a release issued by the lawmaker  on Thursday which was made available to newsmen in Abeokuta


According to him, there would soon be a  cash transfer relief which would be done based on the statistics of those who fall into the target population within the federal constituency.

The release explained  that the mode of distribution would not follow the physical handing out of relief materials due to the need to adhere to health advisory on social distancing and logistics challenges at the moment.

 He maintained that in view of the logistics challenges and the constraints of gathering recipients in a location, monetary succour would be done through bank transfers to the target populace.

" Extensive data gathered overtime will be used to reach people without specifically targeting only political associates or Party members only as the member represents all in the constituency.

''The  recipients would be picked from all wards and rural areas and testimonials would soon be collected evidencing collection of the relief package''

Osoba maintained that he will  the opportunity to identify with the people of his  constituency.

He urged them to support the  government as well adhere to the rules of hygiene  and social distancing in order to quickly stave off the pandemic.

He lawmaker reiterated his  commitment  to always provide qualitative and responsive leadership to the people by always sharing in their pains especially at a time like this.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
