Ogun Deputy Governor, Engr. Salako celebrates 54th birthday with less privileged

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has charged the less privileged to take advantage of every positive opportunity that comes their ways as  this would not  only make them successful but add great values to their lives and environment. 


Engr. Salako-Oyedele gave the charge while celebrating her 54th birthday with the Children of Juvenile Correctional Home, Asero Abeokuta where she renovated a hall, classrooms and donated sporting facilities  for the use of the children.


The Deputy Governor who was full of excitement in  identifying with the children noted that  the reason behind  the gesture was her passion at impacting lives, especially the special needs , saying once this is done, she was fulfilled celebrating her  birthday.  


" I want to impact on peoples lives, because it is not just about eating and drinking,  but making a change in people's  life. This time last year, I was at Ijamido Children's Home in Ota and the Home for Special needs,  Ijebu Ode, this year, I decided to touch the lives of another set of children and do something impactful"


" The vision of  our Governor,  Prince Dapo Abiodun is to build a future  for everybody in Ogun State and build it together. There is not much better ways of building future than equipping our children for the future,  so it is my pleasure and honour to be here today to identify with these children" she remarked.


While thanking staffers of the Home for working diligently to take care of the children, she prayed that Almighty God will reward  and bless their wards.


Earlier in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development,  Dr. Oluranti Oladehinde  appreciated the Deputy Governor for her motherly gesture,  adding that her show of love towards the children would give  them a sense of belonging. 

While thanking the Deputy Governor on behalf of the home, the class captain, Master Samod Dapo-Abiodun expressed appreciation  and wished her more fruitful celebrations ahead.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
