Arewa community lauds Abiodun over plan to perfect farmers/herders relationship in Ogun



The Arewa Community in Abeokuta, Ogun State has lauded the Ogun State Governor, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, MFR for setting up a committee through the ministry of agriculture to resolve the crises of farmers and herders in the state.

Prince Hadi Sani, the coordinator of the Arewa community, which is the umbrella body of all 19 Northern states' ethnics  in Ogun state, gave the commendation during a meeting held at the Tata Ketu, yewa north local government on Friday.

He also used the opportunity of the meeting to congratulate Abiodun over his victory at the supreme court.

He noted that he is quite optimistic that the Governor will ensure inclusion of the Arewa Community in his Cabinet to accommodate all the major settlement of Arewa across all local government of the  State.

He said, ''I want to commend our amiable Governor for giving his best to resolve issues facing the farmers and the herders in the state. I also want to appreciate him for his huge  intervention into the Agricultural sector through the Anchor Borrower Scheme''

The group  coordinator also  appealed  to all the farmers and herders to embrace peace in order to ensure the investment of the Anchor borrower programs and our individual private investment in this sector are secured to bring about a Win-Win situation for all the stakeholders in the state.

Several stakeholders such as Ministry of Agriculture, All Farmers Association AFAM, Miyeti Allah, Nigeria Police, So Save corps, and all other major stakeholders critically discuss on modalities on how to resolve the issues to ensure lasting security  of lives and property across the state.

He therefore thanked  the entire Arewa community, Herders, farmers and all other stakeholders for embracing this diplomatic conflict resolution approach.

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
