Yuletide: church feeds 12, 000 needy people  in Ogun 

No fewer than twelve thousand needy residents of Abeokuta, the Ogun State  capital, thronged the Treasure House of God on Christmas Day for the church’s 4th annual “Jesus Feast,” meant to cater for them.

The church located on Quarry road, beside Agbeloba area of the town,  distributed liberally, raw beef and rice to each of the 12, 000 Less privileged, comprising widows, widowers, youths, students, both Muslims and Christians  and physically challenged to make the Yuletide a worthwhile one for them.

In an interview with the chairman feast committee, Deacon Kayode Ogunjimi said that the the treasure house of God has  been feeding  the less privileged every Christmas for over 4years.

Deacon Ogunjimi maintained that  the gesture was part  of the church’s ways of sharing the love of God in Christ with the indigene and none indigence during the Christmas.

His words "We are looking between 10,000 to 12,000 of people to give our gifts to because this is the 4th edition and we believe by his mercy,  God as been doing wonders through the hand of the pastoral council at large. 

"As the the 4th edition,  last year we did 7000 plus and we believe this year we will get double of that figure in between 10,000 and  12,000 people, we want to believe God  will take care of the less privilege.

He therefore urged the government, other churches and well-meaning Nigerians to remember the needy members in their midst and assist them.

One of the beneficiaries, identified as Bolaji Adebesin lauded the church for the  gesture saying that all the beneficiaries head will continue to pray for the organizers.

Ogun Commissioner Gets Honorary Award For Supporting The Vulnerable

The Ogun State ICON of Humanity has honored the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo  in the State with award for supporting the vulnerable during the hottest stage of Covid-19. While presenting the award to him, the president of Flashlight Entertainment, Wole Otuyelu  appreciated him for his kind gesture towards the vulnerable during the trying period in the state.    A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Representing Ijebu North East State Constituency, Hon. Fasuwa Johnson has commiserated with the family of Anthony Adejonpe who died yesterday night In his condolence message, the assembly man  said that  the death of  the Ijebu born  came as a shock to him. The assembly man described the deceased as  a worthy and dependable son of Imomo, ilugun Alaro in his life time. He said, ''This is a  great loss to us in Ijebu North East and Ijebu in  general,  A vibrant and a highly dependable youth is gone. We had our last meeting in September though very short was all about how we can move our area to the next level.
