Osoba empowers 5000 unemployed youths in Ogun

The Honourable Member representing Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Olumide Osoba has empowered five thousand unemployed youths in the three senatorial district of the state.

 The five thousand unemployed youths were trained on  different entrepreneurial skills in order to reduce the rate of unemployment in the  state.

It call be recalled that last month the honorable member supplied and installed solar power panels to electrify Ibafo in Obafemi Owode Local Government area  of the state.

The empowerment which will be in batches as he expects that each beneficiaries will be empowered with seed fund to start off their businesses.

In an another area, the Ogun State Coordinator of National Directorate of Employment, Mr Adekunle Bamigbade  while speaking with newsmen noted that Osoba collaborated with them in facilitating the program.

 According to him, NDE, in collaboration  with Hon. Olumide Osoba facilitated this program to cover the Federal constituency of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode local government of the state.

He said, ''We are training 50 people across his Federal constituency and the empowerment centers on entrepreneurship training, business, and how to set up small scale businesses"

"Our own role is to ensure that the program is being carried on well and we are doing the training for 5 days" he concludes

In the same vein, Hon. Adeola Akintande, a Former Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government government also added that the empowerment will be in batches ,saying that each beneficiaries will be empowered with seed fund to start off their businesses.

''What we are doing today is a training program that was facilitated by Hon. Olumide Osoba representing three Federal Constituency in Ogun State here, that is Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode and Odeda Local Government area, we have quite numbers of people from the three different federal constituencies''

"Today  so far we have  trained  people on how to be self reliant on how to become an entrepreneur and this will help in alleviating poverty level in the state and to generate income for them. The way the country is going now, you can not truely rely on one particular  business"

" I believed today the targets for the seminar is 50 but with the interest and the expectation from the people that what am going to get at the end of this has tremendously increased the number of people"

"We anticipated that we are going to have about 50 people but now we have about 80 but we are still going to accommodate more"

" I want to appreciate the hon. Member of the federal house of representatives for doing this, this is just to say that he is doing this to pay back the people who have elected him into the office"

"The one we did in the last two months we have empowered about 500 people before then I had he did one before Ibafo and that empowerment is different from the one we did in Abeokuta here. I can tell you now that before the end of the year is aiming at targeting 5000 people" he concluded

Ogun Popular Music Promoter, Bamgboye Installed As Oluwo Of Ijeja Land

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu  Adedotun Gbadebo, on Monday appointed a popular music producer, chief Aremu Bamgboye  as the Oluwo of Ijeja land , Abeokuta, area of Ogun State. The Alake Of Egbaland who was represented by the Oluwo of Igbehin  who also doubles as Oluwo of Agbonyi installed chief Aremu Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land. He said that the installation came from the order of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun. The Oluwo of Igbehin maintained that that any other Oluwo apart from chief Bamgboye is a counterfeit. ''We are here today on the order given to us by the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo that we should install chief Bamgboye as the Oluwo of Ijeja land and we have successfully installed him. He is the authentic Oluwo''. He therefore called on the residents of Ijeja land to support the newly appointed  Oluwo of the community. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Set for Re-Opening of campus

The federal polytechnic ilaro recently has put in place measures which have been instructed by the Federal government and the presidential task force on covid19 that all institutions across The Nation should put in place before reopening of campuses. The institution as put in place disinfectant booths and also social distancing marks which are going to be guide in entering the main campus.
